ICC Arbitration: Current Developments

What is this program about ?

The ICC, one of the world’s most important arbitration institutions, evolves, changes, and updates itself. These changes have an impact on the way one should ideally approach ICC arbitrations, on the strategies one should pursue to be effective counsels and arbitrators. This two-day program brings together instructors who either have extensive experience of ICC arbitrations, are able to take a step back and explain how things are changing, or who know the ICC from the inside and can provide an informed update of its current developments. A few practitioner-scholars, with a particular ability to observe, complete the lineup of instructors. The program covers the different stages of an ICC arbitration procedure as well as general observations of its current developments.

Program Learning Outcomes 

More specifically, the program will help participants to:

  • Understand the specificities and potential pitfalls of recent, current and future developments in ICC arbitration
  • Understand how to best advise a client in regard to these developments and to ICC arbitrations generally
  • Learn practical tips and skills from leading practitioners
  • Learn from leading practitioners of several generations


Methodology

The sessions allow open questions and discussions. The goal is to feel comfortable and able to maximize your learning opportunity. At the end of the module, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

How to apply?

To apply for ICC Arbitration: Current Developments, please send a CV and a motivation letter to info@cids.ch.
The number of participants is limited to 15-20 participants. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees for the course are CHF 1000.-. Early birds, applying before 29 August, pay a discounted fee of CHF 750.-. Fees include tuition and lunches.

Due to the limited number of places, payment is due upon acceptance to the course. Please note that the above fees do not cover travel and accommodation. 

Cancellation Policy

The CIDS must be notified in writing of cancellations. No refund for cancellations notified less than 7 days before the course. In case of insufficient registration, the CIDS reserves the right to cancel the course up to 7 days before it is due to start. In this case, no reimbursement is offered for travel expenses or other costs.
