Biography

Katerina is a qualified attorney-at-law and currently admitted at the Master in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS). She is trained both in common law and civil law jurisdiction. She holds an LL.M. from Georgetown Law in International Business and Economic Law and an LL.B. from the Athens University.
Prior to current studies, Katerina worked in a leading law firm in Athens with a particular focus in arbitration , commercial and financial litigation. She also joined as a blue book trainee the DG for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union in the European Commission.
While in USA, she was honored to work as an intern in the US Congress where she advised on issues related to trade, financial and investment areas of law. She also worked at the Legal Department of the IMF on projects covering multiple currency practices , European Financial Assistance Facilities and insolvency issues.

Katerina participated in the International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris (2019).During her legal studies, she was an active member of the Committee of Georgetown International Arbitration Society. Member of the Greek team she won the first prize in Europe in Moot Court Competition on International Trade Law. As a coach her team was awarded the first prize worldwide in the same Competition. In light of this success, she received scholarships from the WTI in Bern and from the IELPO in Barcelona.
