Biography

Trinh Ba Duong (Donny) is a Vietnamese lawyer specializing in International Arbitration and currently MIDS candidate. Prior to that, Donny worked as an in-house legal counsel for a leading multinational telecommunications company in Hong Kong (Hutchison Asia Telecom Group) and at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC (Ha Noi Office) – a tier 1 South Korean law firm, involved in international arbitration, corporate and M&A matters. Donny also completed an internship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague and was a member of the Secretariat of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC).

Donny graduated his first Master of Laws (LL.M) at the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV). During his time as an undergraduate at DAV, he has participated as a team member in the Vis Moot (East) – Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. He was also the Head of Content Department of Asian Law Students’ Association – Vietnamese Chapter in 2014.
