Cara is an Australian lawyer specialising in international litigation, arbitration and private international law.
Prior to commencing the MIDS, Cara was working as a Senior Associate in the London office of Lipman Karas LLP, a specialist disputes practice with a focus on cross-border commercial litigation, arbitration and asset recovery. Cara’s focus was on major projects involving insolvency, fraud, banking and finance law and private international law. Since 2015, Cara has worked as a consultant to the Hague Conference on Private International Law's Judgments Project on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.
Before joining Lipman Karas, Cara was a Legal Officer at the Hague Conference working primarily on the Judgments Project and the Hague Convention of 30 June 2005 on Choice of Court Agreements, an Associate at the Supreme Court of Victoria and an Associate at Baker McKenzie in Melbourne, Australia.
