Biography

Aparna is an Indian qualified lawyer having graduated with honours and gold medals in Arbitration from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

After graduation, Aparna was retained as an associate in the Employment Law Team at Trilegal, one of the leading firms in India. During her stint, she advised global clientele on various employment issues including employee on-boarding, transfers and terminations, employee benefits, workplace sexual harassment and assignment of intellectual property rights.

Prior to the MIDS, Aparna was working with a Designated Senior Counsel in Bengaluru, with a special focus on commercial litigation and arbitration. She has appeared before arbitral tribunals and courts in India in several high stake disputes involving property, banking and contract laws. She has been active in pro bono work, having represented socio-economical weaker sections before judicial fora and acting as a mediator.

Aparna also enjoys legal writing, having served on the Editorial Board of the Environmental Law and Practice Review at NALSAR. She has continued to write after graduation on current issues in commercial arbitration and litigation that have been published in prestigious journals.
