Biography

Sarthak is an Indian qualified lawyer. Before joining the MIDS program, he worked in a boutique dispute resolution law firm in India for nearly five years where he represented clients in high-value disputes arising out of construction and engineering projects, shareholders agreements, private equity investments, and long-term supply contracts. He has appeared in several cases before arbitral tribunals, courts and quasi-judicial bodies across India.

Sarthak has also worked as a research assistant with many scholars in the field of international arbitration and international investment law. He writes and publishes regularly on these subjects.             

Sarthak graduated with honors from Gujarat National Law University, India (B.Com., LL.B. (Hons.)). During his time there, he participated in various moot court competitions, including the 2015 ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law (now John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition) where he qualified for the final oral round in Geneva and finished as semifinalist in the Asia-Pacific rounds.
