Biography

Fernanda is a Brazilian qualified lawyer, with Italian citizenship. She has graduated from the University of São Paulo with a double-bachelor degree from the Université Jean-Moulin Lyon 3 (Licence). Moreover, she has concluded one semester of academic mobility at the University of Lausanne.

Fernanda holds three years of practical experience in Arbitration and Litigation as an associate in medium-sized and boutique dispute resolution law firms. She has participated in approximately thirty arbitration proceedings, in both international and domestic cases, as counsel to parties or tribunal’s secretary, before the main Brazilian institutions (CAM-CCBC, FGV, FIESP and CAMARB), ICC and LCIA. She has worked in proceedings conducted in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. Her experience comprises a wide range of matters, including M&A, construction, infrastructure, real estate, energy, civil liability and corporate disputes. Prior qualifying, she has completed internships in medium-sized and full-service Brazilian law firms.

Fernanda is also an LL.M candidate in International Commercial Law at the University of São Paulo, conducting research on corruption in investment arbitration. She has acted as a Lecturer in the University of São Paulo’s undergraduate courses “International Commercial Law” and “International Private Law”. Further, she created the University of São Paulo’s Study Group in Investment Law and Arbitration.

In addition to her native Portuguese, Fernanda is fluent in English and French, with an advanced comprehension of Spanish.
