Biography

María Eugenia Piacquadio is an Argentinean Lawyer, with almost 4 years of experience in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration.

Prior to joining the MIDS, she worked as associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP and interned at Dechert LLP (Paris) where she concentrates her practice on a wide range of complex international commercial arbitrations, investment disputes, litigation procedures, and corporate advisory.

She specializes in investment and contractual disputes, having experience in different institutional arbitration proceedings, including disputes under numerous bilateral and multilateral investment treaties in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

María Eugenia also represented the University of Buenos Aires School of Law (UBA) twice in International Arbitration Moots, where she obtained several mentions and recognitions, including the 1st place of the IX International Commercial Arbitration Moot in 2016. The University of Buenos Aires, recognized her as an Outstanding Student twice. She continues with her academic experience by coaching other UBA FDI Moot teams and by lecturing Civil Procedural Law.

María Eugenia Is currently an LL.M. candidate of the Master in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) for the academic period 2020-2021.
