Biography

Antonio Rigozzi is a founding partner of the Geneva firm Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler, where he heads the sports arbitration team, and a Professor for international arbitration and sports law at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He has extensive experience across all the main areas of sports law and arbitration, including anti-doping, contract, disciplinary, labour, image rights, regulatory, and sponsorship disputes in a wide range of sports. He advises athletes, teams and sports-governing bodies in proceedings before the CAS, the BAT and the Swiss courts, including the Swiss Supreme Court and serves as an arbitrator or mediator in sports-related disputes outside the CAS. He is also the chairman of the Arbitral Tribunal of Swiss Athletics and has repeatedly served as co-opted judge of the FIA's International Court of Appeal. In addition, Antonio Rigozzi serves as counsel, arbitrator and expert in international commercial arbitrations, both ad hoc and under the main institutional rules, including the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCAI, CAM and VIAC rules.
