Biography

Aditya Pratap Singh has previously held the position of International Case Counsel at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He administered cases concerning international arbitration, construction adjudication and domain name disputes. Prior to the AIAC, he worked as an in-house counsel for Vedanta Limited where his work majorly concerned energy related disputes, contract drafting and negotiation.

He graduated from the National Law University, Jodhpur with a specialization in Business Law (B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). During his undergraduate years, he published papers in reputed journals as the Arbitration International (Oxford University Press), International Arbitration Law Review (Sweet and Maxwell) and several prominent Indian journals as SEBI and Corporate Laws Journal etc. He received a full scholarship to participate in the prestigious Paris Arbitration Academy in 2016.

Having received the MIDS-managed scholarship and being trained in the common law tradition, his motivation to attend the MIDS is to carve a niche for himself in civil law tradition. He firmly believes that knowledge of both traditions is essential in the practice of international arbitration.
