Vera is a Russian-qualified lawyer with over 3 years of experience in both International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation.
In 2017, she completed an internship in the White & Case, Arbitration and Litigation practice group (Moscow office). For the last 2 years, she has worked within a leading Russian dispute resolution law firm - Egorov, Puginsky, Afanasiev & Partners. She represented clients before the Russian courts defending the interests of major coal and aluminium producing companies, foreign pharmaceutical corporations and major Russian banks.
Vera holds an LL.B. degree in International Law of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and an LL.M. degree in Private International Law of the Higher School of Economics, Moscow. She studied for 2 semesters in the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris) with the course instruction in French contract law, tort law and civil procedure (in French language).
As a law student, Vera has successfully participated in various moot courts. In 2018, her team of the Higher School of Economics won in the Finals of the Willem C. Vis Moot (Vienna). She also competed in the Quarter-Finals of the Philip C. Jessup Moot (Washington D.C.) and in the Quarter-Finals of the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court (Stockholm). Vera has been awarded an Honorable Mention as one of the best individual oralists of the FDI Moot Court (Stockholm).
