I am originally from Burkina Faso where I obtained my law degree from University Ouaga II, and I am a currently enrolled in the MIDS LLM in Geneva led by Professor Kaufmann-Kohler. Prior to the MIDS, I gained two years of experience in a law firm back in Ouagadougou before moving to Switzerland to study a first Masters in Economic Laws at the University of Geneva. Right after my masters I undertook a traineeship at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, serving the current President (then Vice-President) Judge Yusuf, which fostered my interest in international dispute settlement and convinced me of getting back to Geneva pursue the MIDS LLM this time.
At the MIDS, my focus has been on both public and private international dispute settlement mechanisms. More specifically, I am particularly focusing my studies on international commercial and investment arbitration, which is to what I would like to devote my career.
