Biography

Hanchun Zhu is a Chinese lawyer specializing in International Arbitration, Intellectual Property Law, and Domain Name Dispute Resolution.

Before joining MIDS, Hanchun worked as a legal case manager in the Arbitration and Mediation Center of World Intellectual Property Organization, where she has managed over 500 domain name dispute cases filed under UDRP as well as multiple ccTLD Policies and contributed to the launch of the new dispute resolution service for .CN and .中国 domain names. Hanchun has also worked for several law firms in China, mainly involved in intellectual property disputes, civil litigation, and legal cases concerning bankruptcy, foreign investment, and international arbitration. Additionally, she has worked for an investment company to assist the head of the legal department to provide legal advice and regulatory compliance review on overseas asset/fund management, M&A, listing, RTO, and other legal issues raised from relevant foreign investments.

Hanchun holds a degree of Juris Master from Peking University, has studied at Case Western Reserve University as an exchange student, and has followed several courses at WIPO Academy. Her study in China and abroad mainly focused on intellectual property law and competition law. She passed the bar exam in China in 2015.

Hanchun can work in Chinese and English and has a medium level of French and Japanese.
