Jiahe Yu is qualified in both Australia and China. Prior to commencing the MIDS, she was an associate at King & Wood Mallesons in Shanghai, where she specialised in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory.
Jiahe has managed and advised on numerous multijurisdictional acquisition transactions. She has represented Chinese state-owned enterprises in their overseas acquisitions, which are part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. She has also advised foreign multinational corporations and financial institutions on a number of significant investments and joint ventures in China. Additionally, her experience includes labour and employment compliance, listing compliance for public companies, as well as settlement of mining and shipping disputes.
Jiahe graduated from Monash University in Australian in 2014 and completed her traineeship with an Australian commercial litigation practice in 2015. She has joined the MIDS to explore her interests and hone her skills in international dispute settlement.
