Biography

Victoria Rodriguez Goyena is an Argentinean lawyer, registered at the Bar Association of Buenos Aires, with almost eight years of continuous work in the field of commercial dispute resolution. Her experience includes state court and arbitration proceedings, both from a world-wide office and a boutique firm specialized in arbitration. She was also counsel in the Ministry of Treasury of Argentina, providing advise for its litigation strategies, and was involved in the enactment of sovereign debt regulation.

Victoria graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, where she specialized in business law. She has also completed a Master in Business Law from University of San Andres, with her thesis concerning the interpretation of Argentinean contract law in light of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, and United States law.

Additionally, Victoria is a founding member and former director of the Argentina Young Arbitration Practitioners group, created to provide young lawyers a learning and networking space while promoting the use and knowledge of arbitration in Argentina. Victoria is a former arbitration moots participant, and has coached teams of University of Buenos Aires and University of San Andres for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration and the Foreign Direct Investment moots, including the winning Vis Moot team in 2016.

Victoria is currently an LL.M. candidate of the Master in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) for the academic period 2019-2020.
