Biography

Emma is a French trained lawyer specialised in international economic law and international arbitration.
She holds a double degree in English and French Law (LL.B., Licence and Master 1) jointly run by the University of Leicester and the Université de Strasbourg. She also completed a Master’s degree in international economic law at Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne with an LL.M. at City University of Hong-Kong.

During her studies, she took part in the final of the Concours d’Arbitrage International de Paris (CAIP) and won, with her team, the best memorandum prize for both claimant and respondent.

Prior to joining the MIDS, Emma worked as a research assistant for the arbitrator Jane Willems in Hong-Kong and as an intern at Betto Seraglini, a Parisian boutique law firm specialized in international commercial and investment arbitration.

She took part in the Athens summer school on International Investment law (2017), the ICC executive training in international commercial and investment arbitration in Rome (2017) and in the Arbitration Academy in Paris (2018).

She is a member of several professional associations such as Young ICCA, YAF, European Law students’ association (ELSA), and ESIL.
