Biography

Gabriela Rodriguez is a Paraguayan qualified lawyer with more than five years of experience in domestic and international arbitration and civil and administrative litigation, with expertise in state-involved disputes, public tenders, and construction.

Before the MIDS, she was part of the International Law and Arbitration Unit of the State Attorney-General’s Office of Paraguay, with cases before the Permanent Court of Arbitration and ICC. In her role as a lawyer of the state, she was a member of the negotiation team regarding Bilateral Investment Treaties wherein Paraguay is a party, and participated in the draft of legal opinions for different international matters and institutions such as the Working Group III ISDS Reform.

She is a graduate of the National University of Asunción, where she continues collaborating as a coach of the arbitration team.
