Biography

Pragya Choudhary is a lawyer enrolled in the Bar Council of India. She is pursuing the NUS IADR LL.M. (Singapore)- MIDS Double Degree Programme (2021-23).

During her NUS LL.M. studies and internships (3) in Singapore, she gained knowledge and advanced her skills in arbitration (commercial, investment, energy and finance) and commercial litigation in Singapore and South East Asian countries. In the first semester of her LL.M., she also worked in international taxation as a Research Associate (part-time) at BMR Legal Advocates (India).

Prior to joining NUS, Pragya was awarded the Savitri Jindal Studentship to study BA. LLB. (Hons.) at O.P. Jindal Global University (India). She studied electives and interned focusing on arbitration and commercial laws. She further gained knowledge of arbitration, trade and investment laws through the 8th LSGL Summer School (2020), Teaching Assistantship (for ADR Core Course) and Research Assistantships (university projects). Apart from law, she studied economics, political science, history and sociology.

Pragya has received letters of recommendation from leading judges, arbitrators, counsels and professors. She regularly participates in webinars and conferences of international arbitration groups. Apart from law, she enjoys painting and handicraft making. She practices yoga and spirituality for overall health and well-being. She regularly engages in social service initiatives relating to women's rights, legal aid and education.
