Nicolás is a Colombian qualified lawyer, with emphasis in international and commercial law from the Law School of Universidad del Rosario - Bogotá. With knowledge and experience in private international law and international investment law, Nicolás has worked as a member of the In-house counsel group in the largest financial group in Colombia, working on a variety of matters including those related with foreign investment.
During his legal studies in Colombia, Nicolás was awarded with several academic recognitions for his essays in international investment arbitration and for being the top student in the family law area at the legal office of his alma mater providing pro-bono legal services.
