Biography

Mihika is an India qualified lawyer having graduated with a specialization in international trade and investment law from National Law University Jodhpur (B.A. LL.B. (Hons.).

Prior to the MIDS, she worked as an associate in the dispute resolution practice of Trilegal, one of India’s tier-one business law firms. In this role, she had the opportunity to provide legal assistance to state-owned companies and large business clients with global operations, in arbitrations seated in Singapore, London and India governed by various institutional rules (e.g., SIAC, LCIA, ICC). The mandates regarded, amongst others, energy disputes, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder disputes and cross- border disputes arising out of commercial and construction contracts. Additionally, she has represented clients in arbitration related court matters, enforcement proceedings and commercial matters before the High Court of Karnataka. She also has experience in handling general corporate work such as cross-border merger and acquisition transactions involving private equity firms. 

Mihika has also been a part of the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Court Competition both as a participant and a coach, aside from this she has attended the Arbitration Academy in Paris. In law school she was on the editorial board of academic journals such as Trade, Law and Development as well as the Indian Journal of Arbitration Law.
