Clément Bachmann is a postdoctoral researcher at the Geneva Centre for International Dispute Settlement.
He previously worked as a trainee lawyer with CMS von Erlach Poncet and as a research assistant in the Private International Law Department of the University of Geneva, where he incidentally is admitted to the bar.
He defended his Ph.D. (summa cum laude) on the legitimation of international arbitration at the University of Geneva in 2020. He holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, a Certificate in Transnational Law (CTL) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions from that same university (although, for a change, he spent one year at the University of Lucerne during his bachelor).
His non-legal interests include literature, alpinism, politics and theater arts.
